We celebrated our last attendance reward drawings for the year. We recognized students who were absent for two days or fewer in the fourth term. Congratulations to all our winners

Middle school students had the opportunity to enjoy end-of-year field trips yesterday. All three grade levels were out of the building, enjoying the beautiful weather.

The energy is high today in 6th grade science as it is build day for our solar ovens! The students are engaged and excited about this project! We can't wait until test day! We will be trying to make s'mores on Monday.

This year, the middle school is recognizing outstanding student effort, behavior, and ability by giving out Student of the Term awards. Each term, teachers nominate different students, discuss their accomplishments, and then select one from each grade level. Students then have the opportunity to call home to share the news with their family and enjoy a family celebration breakfast. Way to go, students.

Congrats to our Caught Being Good Winners. This month, we had an extra drawing for students that allowed them to put their tickets in for a gift card to Trempealeau Pool and Galesville Express Mart

We are incredibly thankful for our district's Youth Serving Youth (YSY) program. Through this program, high school students have the opportunity to support younger students by serving as classroom aides, tutors, or by assisting in small group settings. We are truly grateful and feel very fortunate to have their help.

Congrats to this week's Caught Being Good Winners. Way to go, middle school students!

Another great night of music at our Performing Arts Center! Thank you to Mrs. Walker and the middle school choirs for a great concert!

The 2nd Annual Aloha Celebration 🌺
What a fantastic Monday night at G-E-T Middle School! The 2nd Annual Aloha Celebration was a joyful gathering of students, families, and community members, all coming together to honor the achievements of our 5th–8th grade students.
It was a night filled with smiles, celebration, and community spirit—we can’t wait to do it again next year!
A heartfelt mahalo to our incredible supporters: Boy Scouts, Schwertel Family Farms, the public libraries, Studio 6, Create Happy, Coulee Boutique, and the Galesville Lions. Your generous contributions and enthusiasm helped make this event truly special.

This is just a reminder of this fun-filled evening with games, food, and activities at the middle school tomorrow night. Please plan to join us even if you haven't RSVP.

Congrats to this week's Caught Being Good Winners. Even a staff member got in on this week's fun. Way to go, middle school students!

In 8th grade ELA, the students worked hard on their final reading and writing projects. They had to choose a novel with a minimum of 100 pages to read. They wrote essays that focused on theme, sequencing, and summarization. After completing their essays, they created Book Recommendation Slides, which they presented to the class. This culminating project of hard work and grit came at a time when most wanted to be outside in the sun. Way to go, 8th grade!
One quote from her essay, written by Grace Dahl, sums up a life long lesson we could all learn from..."Sometimes in the end, we don't get what we want or what we fought for, but sometimes it's not about what's at the end, but about what you did along the way that got you to the end."

TCSD BADGES Program Visits Our Middle School
Today, we were honored to welcome the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department (TCSD) to our middle school as they presented their BADGES program. A powerful educational initiative focused on helping students make positive life choices.
The BADGES program emphasizes that good decisions today lead to a better tomorrow. Throughout the day, students rotated through engaging stations led by local law enforcement officers. Topics included drug awareness, online safety, and home safety. One particularly impactful session featured a guest speaker who shared his personal story about the dangers of drug use and how it changed his life.
The event concluded with an exciting display of community support. Students had the opportunity to interact with drug detection dogs, firefighters, EMTs, police officers, safety equipment, drones, and emergency vehicles.
We are incredibly thankful to the TCSD and all the first responders who made this event possible. We appreciate your time, effort, and dedication to educating and protecting our students.

Last night, our middle school band students and their instructor, Adam George, put on another great concert. It is always fun to see how far these students have come in a year. The high school band and choir will perform this Friday, and next Tuesday, the middle school choir.

7th-grade ELA students took advantage of the beautiful weather and braved a challenging scavenger hunt! They worked through 8 stations that reviewed text evidence, word meaning, grammar, and theme standards that have been taught throughout the year!

Congrats to this week's Caught Being Good Winners. Way to go, middle school students!

For the past 15 years, the University of Wisconsin - Extension, Trempealeau County, has been hosting an Eighth Grade Environmental Learning Day program in May each year for Trempealeau County schools. This consists of eighth-grade students from around the county travelling to visit Lock and Dam #6, hike Brady’s Bluff in Perrot Park, and participate in a hands-on activity at the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge

8th Grade Science recently conducted a sound lab with stemmed glasses to test the effects of sound and pitch. In the midst of their Waves and Technology Information unit, this lab enhanced the visual aspect of sound waves. A great hands-on lab this was!

Congrats to our Caught Being Good Winners. This month, we had an extra drawing for students that allowed them to put their tickets in for a gift card to Ettrick Golf Course and Trempealeau Mountain.
