This month's GE Reads was accompanied by a staff vocabulary dress up day! This simple act had staff and students talking about words all day long. Students will join in the fun next month. #galesvillepride

🌲❄️ PBIS Celebrations in Action! ❄️🌲
We loved celebrating our students who have been showing what it means to be safe, respectful, and responsible!
Students in grades 1–5 enjoyed a PBIS reward trip to Bruce Mound, where they explored nature, stayed active, and made great memories together outdoors. Meanwhile, our kindergarten students celebrated their positive choices with a cozy and fun Frozen Friday right here at school!
These experiences are a wonderful reminder that when students meet PBIS expectations, great things happen—learning, joy, and connection to each other and the world around us. We are so proud of our Red Hawks! 🦅✨ #galesvillepride

A Little Magic Goes a Long Way... ✨
The Principal Elf arrived today with one very important mission: to bring as much joy as possible to our incredible students!
Between the surprise visits to the cafeteria and the quiet appearances in the library, the "Elf on the Shelf" is reminding us all that the best part of the season is the happiness we share with one another. #galesvillepride

Today we celebrated Read for the Record and we were absolutely thrilled to welcome so many parents, grandparents, and loved ones into our building. It was our best turnout yet and the positive energy was contagious. Our Redhawk students and families moved through three special rotations: gathering to hear this year's official book See Marcus Grow, celebrating our school spirit during our monthly Redhawk Rally, and finding cozy spots to enjoy reading together in their classrooms.#GalesvillePride.

Soar, Red Hawks, Soar! 🦅 We are thrilled to announce a returning math collaboration for our 4th and 5th graders!
We have the privilege of welcoming future educators from Winona State University (WSU) into our classrooms. These talented WSU students are bringing fresh energy and hands-on strategies to teach engaging math lessons and reinforce key concepts.
Our Red Hawks get to benefit from diverse teaching styles and focused attention, while the WSU students gain valuable real-world experience. It's a true win-win for education and community growth right here in Galesville!

It was so wonderful to see all the smiling faces and amazing costumes as we continued one of our most beloved Galesville Elementary traditions. The joy of this parade is all about our students and community coming together. A huge thank you to our staff, families, and neighbors who lined the new route to cheer us on. #GalesvillePride

Red Ribbon Week & Rigorous Learning!
It has been a spirited and fun-filled Red Ribbon Week! 🎈We're having a blast celebrating healthy choices and a drug-free life.
But even with all the theme-day excitement, the amazing learning hasn't stopped for a second! We've been balancing the fun with a ton of focused work and growth.
Just a peek at what our students have been up to:
🎃 Spooky Math: We combined art and decimals! Students used their skills in adding decimals to plot points on a coordinate grid, revealing a spooky (and very cool) drawing.
✍️ Writing Workshop: Our authors are deep in the writing process—drafting, revising, and editing their pieces. The focus and creativity are inspiring!
🔐 Escape the Classroom: We put our problem-solving skills to the test with a thrilling, math-focused escape room that had everyone working together and thinking critically.
So proud of how our students are embracing both the fun of Red Ribbon Week and the challenge of growing their minds! #galesvillepride
