Unity day is all about being kind, being inclusive, and being a good friend to everyone. We loved seeing so many students wearing orange in honor of this special day. Students also created special rocks to place in our river of unity to represent ways we can spread kindness. #GalesvillePride

Second Graders Conquer Wildcat State Park!
What a wonderful day of discovery! 🎒 Our second graders spent the day at Wildcat State Park, fully immersed in nature.
They explored the beautiful State Park trails, learned about local plants and wildlife, and experienced the fun of hiking. This hands-on trip was a huge success!

Thank you to the CCU Co-op Credit Union for donating many snacks and birthday cake bags for our students at all 3 elementary schools. We appreciate the community outreach to our students.

It takes a village to help our Red Hawks soar, and this semester, our village grew stronger with the help of three outstanding student teachers! Please join us in giving a huge Galesville Elementary thank you to:
Mr. Brown (5th Grade)
Ms. LaFleur (Art)
Ms. Stevens (Kindergarten)
We are so proud of the work they've done and wish you the very best as you embark on your professional careers in January. The future of education is bright with you in it! #galesvillepride

It's Fire Prevention Week! 🔥 A huge Red Hawk THANK YOU to the Galesville Fire Department for visiting today and teaching all our 4K-5th grade students about fire safety.
This year's theme is "Charge into fire safety: Lithium-ion batteries in your home." It was a powerful reminder for all of us to be smart and safe with our electronics. Be sure to ask your student what they learned! #galesvillepride

Our fourth graders took their learning outside yesterday! 🌳 We visited an enormous tree in one of our student’s yards to explore real-world math and science. Students measured its circumference to find the diameter to estimate the tree’s age and calculated how much water it absorbs in a week and a year. Hands-on learning + fresh air = one unforgettable lesson! 🍃📏💧 A special thank you to Mrs. Wallner, Mr. Larson, and Mrs. Iverson for all of their help with this project!

Galesville Elementary is honored to add a new Buddy Bench on our playground in memory of Becky Gagnon, a beloved former teacher. Becky truly loved teaching, especially fourth grade, and our school will always hold a special place in her family’s heart.
This special bench serves as a lasting legacy. It will provide a welcoming spot where students can sit, talk, and take a break with friends—a reflection of Becky’s caring spirit.
We are grateful to the Gagnon family for sharing this meaningful gift with our school community. ❤️. #galesvillepride

So much joy at Kindergarten Specials Night! ✨ It was incredible to see our school buzzing with excitement as students showed their families the amazing things they do in their specials classes.
From creating in the art room 🎨, to exploring books in the library 📚, getting active in the gym 🏀, learning about wellness ❤️, and making music in the portable 🎵, it was a night full of smiles.
The cherry on top was a delightful musical performance by our kindergarteners to end the evening. Our hearts are full! Thank you to everyone who made tonight so memorable.

Galesville and Ettrick elementaries joined up at the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge today. The weather threatened rain, but we all stayed dry. We got to see some beautiful fall scenes and learn about the refuge with Val and Jane. Thank you to the refuge and our volunteers for a wonderful field trip.

This month, our Galesville Elementary adventurers set out on a journey to show what it means to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible — and they succeeded in heroic fashion!
These brave explorers of learning have blazed trails in kindness, teamwork, and perseverance. Their actions remind us that every day is an opportunity to chart a new course and rise to the challenge of our PBIS expectations.
